Dissappointment...
Here we are in the midst of the writer's strike and not too much new to watch on TV. So a few weeks back I signed up with
I thought it would be a good way to watch some shows that I had not seen before. Since NBC couldn't come to a new agreement with Apple the NBC shows are no longer on iTunes, but on hulu. After I got my login I went on the site and looked at a couple clips of shows...I even posted one on this blog. While I was browsing clips I saw that there were full episodes of shows that I had not had the opportunity to watch when they were on the air primarily Firefly and Roswell. I have heard some good things about both of them and they have actors in them that are on other shows that I like so I thought it would be a good way to test hulu. well, with both programs the pilot episodes were not available. I actually got errors on both saying that the episodes were not available at that time. Then I was directed to the second episode of each series as alternatives. Why would I want to watch episode #2 if I had not seen episode #1?So needless to say I am not too pleased with my hulu experience thus far. I am not sure if I will give it another chance or not. For now I am going to stick with my Friends and Alias DVD sets.

Myths and Realities
Previously I blogged about learning how to embed video on this page. It is interesting to see that the Church has embraced the internet to share the message for the restored gospel and educate on what the Church is and what it is not. The Church released another video, so I thought I would try it again. From LDS.org:
"SALT LAKE CITY 4 January 2008 A 10-minute video originally produced for the large number of journalists visiting Salt Lake City for the 2002 Winter Olympics has been updated and posted on Newsroom today to help counter persistent myths about the Church.

Myths & Reality was developed as a primer on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was shown to a large gathering of NBC producers and reporters before the 2002 Games to help orient them to Mormon beliefs, practice and culture. NBC was the official media sponsor of the Olympics in 2002 and invited the Church to make a presentation to its large Olympic Games team."

Time to catch up!!!
If you have read this blog before you may know that I love the show "Alias". It went off the air a couple of years ago and I bought the DVDs to watch whenever I want. Well JJ Abrams created "Alias" and "Lost". "Lost" was not a show I ever started watching because there was never enought time and I didn't want to get into another show. With the WGA strike there are not too many new episodes out there, so I think that I am going to start watching "Lost". When I was pondering this, I wondered how I could get up to date on "Lost" and learn the storyline. I mean, I knew there was a plane crash, there were "others", but not too much else. Well this afternoon while surfing the Idaho Statesman website I found a short synopsis of the past three seasons. Watch it a couple of times and you'll be caught up on "Lost" too!

I'm Starvin'!
When we get together as a family we have a good time. With my brother Clark, my brother Cort, his wife Emily, my wife Tammy and I play games or watching movies; we crack each other up. We always make little comments or quotes from the past that bring back the memories. Here is one that we share all the time.
